The LoboCard is the official ID card for UNM. As a new employee, one of your first orientation check list items is to get your LoboCard.
Depending on your employment status and choices, with your LoboCard may also:
- Make on-campus purchases through the LoboCash account
- Access your faculty-staff meal plan
- Pay for printing across campus
- Access the Rec Center (Johnson Center)
- Check out books & materials from the campus Libraries
- Receive discounts
- Obtain a free bus pass sticker for ABQ RIDE
Employees who qualify for a LoboCard include:
Regular Staff: Permanent employees of UNM are eligible for a LoboCard when they begin their employment. You must have submitted your paperwork to HR several days prior for your processing to be complete and for you to have a record in the carding system.
Temp Staff: Temp employees are eligible for a LoboCard when they begin their employment. Please note: These cards do NOT allow access to the libraries, Johnson Center, or discounted tickets.
Faculty: Faculty at UNM are eligible for a LoboCard when they begin their employment. Because of the complexity of the contract process, faculty members are invited to call the LoboCard Office at 505-277-9970 to confirm the presence of record for them in the carding software before they come to the office.
Contractors: Contractors can also be issued a limited-use LoboCard only if it is required to properly perform the duties of their job. Please note: These cards do NOT allow access to the libraries, Johnson Center, or discounted tickets.
